Maserati Unveils GranCabrio Folgore And TRIDENTE Powerboat At Monaco Yacht Show 2024
Maserati is showcasing its electric innovations at the Monaco Yacht Show, a prestigious event for luxury yacht enthusiasts. The show, held under the patronage of Prince Albert II of Monaco, attracts those seeking the latest in maritime luxury. Maserati is presenting two standout creations: the GranCabrio Folgore and the TRIDENTE powerboat, both fully electric and representing cutting-edge technology.
In collaboration with Vita Power, Maserati developed the TRIDENTE powerboat. This 10.5-metre vessel features a 600 hp output and a 252 kWh battery capacity. It can reach speeds up to 40 knots and charges quickly using direct current. Crafted from carbon fibre by Hodgdon Yachts, it accommodates ten passengers and embodies high standards of nautical craftsmanship.
The GranCabrio Folgore is Maserati's first fully electric convertible in the luxury segment. Unveiled in April 2024, it combines elegance with performance using 800-V technology. Equipped with three 300-kW motors, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds and reaches a top speed of 290 km/h. The car offers a range of 447 km (WLTP cycle) while maintaining comfort for four passengers.
Maserati's presence at the Monaco Yacht Show includes over 560 exhibitors and more than 120 superyachts. The event takes place in Port Hercule's picturesque bay, attracting international experts and enthusiasts in pleasure boating. Maserati stands out with its innovative electric models amidst this glamorous setting on the Côte d'Azur.
Maserati plans to offer all models in full-electric versions by 2025, transitioning to an entirely electric lineup by 2028. Their current range includes vehicles like the Grecale SUV and GranTurismo grand tourer, known for their quality materials and technical excellence. The MC20 super sports car features the Nettuno V6 engine with F1-derived technologies.
The TRIDENTE powerboat represents a new chapter for Maserati on water, combining luxury with sustainability. Its design reflects Italian elegance while offering high performance on open waters. Meanwhile, the GranCabrio Folgore exemplifies Italian style on four wheels, merging luxury with advanced technology for an unparalleled driving experience.
