Fourth Generation Maruti Suzuki Swift Hits Over 35,800 Sales: A New Milestone
Maruti Suzuki recently revealed that its Swift hatchback has sold over 35,800 units since its fourth-generation model's launch in May 2024. This significant milestone was achieved in less than two months. That being said, the new Swift is currently available at a starting ex-showroom price of Rs 6.49 lakh and has a waiting period of 2 to 3 weeks.
Swift Surpasses 30 Lakh Unit Sales Milestone
The Swift nameplate has been making headlines for all the right reasons, as it recently crossed the 30 lakh unit sales milestone since its inception in 2005. The model is now in its fourth generation. The Swift has consistently been a popular choice among Indian car buyers due to its stylish design, fuel efficiency, and affordable pricing.

Upcoming CNG Powertrain for Swift
In addition to its current success, reports indicate that Maruti Suzuki will soon reintroduce a CNG powertrain option for the Swift. At present, the model is only available with a new 1.2-litre NA petrol engine in a three-cylinder configuration. This engine produces 80bhp and 112Nm of torque and comes paired with either a five-speed manual or an AMT gearbox.
