Maruti Suzuki has added a new member to its lineup with the introduction of the Swift Blitz Edition in India, aimed at boosting its sales during the festive season. This follows the launch of special editions for other models like the Grandara SUV and the Baleno premium hatchback.
With the Swift being a popular choice among hatchback enthusiasts, this limited edition offers an attractive proposition with its added features and cosmetic enhancements, all without altering the car's mechanical specs.
Exterior
The Swift Blitz Edition distinguishes itself from the regular Swift variants with a generous accessory package valued at ₹39,500, at no extra cost to the buyer. This package enhances both the exterior and interior of the car, making it stand out. On the outside, it gets additional touches like grille garnish, LED fog lamps, and underbody spoilers that accentuate the front, rear, and sides. It also sports body cladding, a window frame kit, door visors, and a black roof spoiler, giving it a more distinctive and aggressive look compared to its standard counterpart.
Interior
Moving inside, the Blitz Edition ups the ante with exclusive seat covers and floor mats that are not found in the regular Swift models. It also boasts a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system and automatic climate control among its upgraded features. These additions aim to enhance passenger comfort and convenience, making the Swift Blitz Edition an even more appealing choice for buyers looking for a hatchback with a unique touch.
Powertrain & Variants
The Blitz Edition is available in two variants - VXi and VXi (O), each equipped with a 1.2-litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine. This engine produces 82 bhp of power and 112 Nm of torque. Buyers have the choice between a five-speed manual gearbox or a five-speed AMT unit, catering to different driving preferences. Additionally, there are petrol-only and petrol-CNG powertrain options, providing versatility to meet various consumer needs.
