Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to launch the all-new Dzire compact sedan in India, with prices set to be revealed next month (November). This model could be available after Diwali 2024. The new Dzire will distinguish itself from the Swift with a unique design and enhanced features, including a sunroof and petrol-CNG powertrains.

Distinctive Design and Features

The upcoming Dzire aims for a premium look, setting it apart from the Swift hatchback. Leaked images suggest an Audi-like front with a blacked-out grille, chrome accents, slim headlights, and a sportier bumper. The diamond-cut alloy wheels differ from the Swift's, while wraparound LED tail-lights add style.

Interior Enhancements

Inside, the Dzire will share many elements with the Swift but will feature lighter dashboard shades for a more upscale feel. It retains a 9-inch touchscreen, automatic climate control, and an analogue instrument cluster with a 4.2-inch digital MID. Rumours hint at ADAS availability in higher variants.

Powertrain Options

Under the hood, the Dzire will use the Swift's 1.2-litre Z Series petrol engine and offer a petrol-CNG variant. Petrol models will have an automatic gearbox option, while CNG versions will come with a five-speed manual transmission only.

Bookings for the new Dzire are expected to open soon, with deliveries starting by mid-November. This model will compete against Hyundai Aura, Honda Amaze, and Tata Tigor in the market. The new Honda Amaze is also anticipated to debut globally in the coming months.
