Auto Expo 2025: Maruti Suzuki e Vitara Expectations & Highlights
Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to introduce its first electric SUV in India at the Bharat Mobility Expo. The e Vitara, which made its global debut last month, will be showcased at this event. This marks a significant step for Maruti Suzuki as they venture into the electric vehicle market with their 'eBorn SUV'.
Design
The e Vitara's exterior design is based on the HEARTECT-e platform, crafted specifically for battery electric vehicles. Drawing inspiration from the eVX concept seen at the Auto Expo, it features sleek single-pod headlamps with integrated LED DRLs and wraparound LED taillights connected by a black insert. The SUV will come with either 18-inch or 19-inch alloy wheels.

Interior & Features
Inside, the e Vitara offers a modern dual-screen layout and a two-spoke steering wheel. It is equipped with features like automatic climate control, heated mirrors, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, a wireless charger, and ADAS technology. These elements enhance both comfort and convenience for drivers and passengers.
Powertrain
Globally, the Suzuki e Vitara is available with two battery choices: 49kWh and 61kWh. The 49kWh battery powers a single electric motor on the front axle, delivering 142bhp and 189Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the larger 61kWh battery comes in both single-motor and dual-motor variants. These offer power outputs of 172bhp/189Nm and 184bhp/300Nm respectively.

DriveSpark Thinks
The introduction of Maruti's first electric SUV signifies an important milestone for the company in India's growing EV market. With its innovative design and advanced features, the e Vitara aims to attract eco-conscious consumers seeking sustainable mobility solutions.
