Maruti Suzuki Ignis Radiance Edition Launched Rs 5.49 Lakh
Maruti Suzuki has introduced the Ignis Radiance Edition, starting at Rs 5.49 lakh. This new edition aims to boost sales amid a slowdown in the mass-market segment. The Radiance Edition is available on Sigma, Zeta, and Alpha variants but not on the mid-spec Delta variant.
Ignis Radiance Edition Features
The entry-level Ignis Radiance Edition is priced Rs 35,000 lower than the Sigma trim, which costs Rs 5.84 lakh. It includes accessories worth Rs 3,650, such as wheel covers for the 15-inch steel wheels, a door visor, and chrome highlights in select areas.
The higher-spec Zeta and top-spec Alpha variants of the Radiance Edition are also priced Rs 35,000 lower than their standard counterparts. The Zeta variant ranges from Rs 6.96 lakh to Rs 7.41 lakh, while the Alpha variant ranges from Rs 7.61 lakh to Rs 8.06 lakh. These variants come with accessories worth Rs 9,500, including new seat covers, black cushions, door cladding, and a door visor.
Mechanical Specifications
Mechanically, the Ignis Radiance Edition remains unchanged. It continues to feature an 83hp, 1.2-litre petrol engine available with both manual and AMT gearbox options.
The Ignis competes with models like the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, Citroen C3, and Maruti's own Wagon R, Swift, and Baleno. "The introduction of special editions like the Ignis Radiance Edition is part of our strategy to offer more value to our customers," said a Maruti Suzuki spokesperson.
This move comes as part of Maruti Suzuki's efforts to enhance its product lineup and attract more buyers during a period of sluggish market performance. The introduction of these special editions reflects Maruti Suzuki's commitment to providing diverse options that cater to different customer preferences while maintaining competitive pricing.
