Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara To Enhance Safety With ADAS Technology Integration
The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, a top-selling car model in India, is renowned for its fuel efficiency. Reports indicate that Maruti Suzuki plans to incorporate Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) technology into this model. The Grand Vitara is already a feature-rich vehicle.
According to sources, Maruti Suzuki will soon integrate ADAS into the Grand Vitara. This technology enhances safety through cameras and sensors. ADAS includes features such as automatic emergency braking, traffic signal detection and warning, and alerts for vehicles crossing the car's path.
Additional ADAS functionalities include park assist, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning assist, and rear collision warning. If implemented, the Grand Vitara will be Maruti Suzuki's first model equipped with ADAS technology.
The Grand Vitara with ADAS is anticipated to be available for sale by the end of this year. Maruti Suzuki began working on integrating ADAS into the Grand Vitara last year. This addition is expected to elevate the car's safety standards significantly.
Currently, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara comes with features like Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), central locking, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Hill Assist, Isofix child seats, a reverse camera, and tyre pressure monitoring system.

The inclusion of ADAS will further enhance the safety level of the Grand Vitara. This improvement is likely to bolster its reputation for safety, similar to Tata cars. Consequently, it is expected to drive up sales of the Grand Vitara.
As of now, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara is available at an ex-showroom price starting from Rs. 12.57 lakh to Rs. 23.32 lakh. The model offers both petrol and CNG options. The CNG variant boasts a mileage of up to 26.6km per kg, according to Maruti Suzuki.
