Maruti Suzuki Fronx Velocity Edition Launched: Prices Start At Rs 7.29 Lakh
Maruti Suzuki has expanded the Fronx Velocity Edition to all 14 variants, starting at Rs 7.29 lakh (ex-showroom) for a limited period. This special edition, initially launched in February 2024 for turbo-petrol variants only, now includes additional accessories worth up to Rs 45,000.
The Fronx Velocity Edition features sporty cosmetic accessories that vary by variant. The base-level Sigma variant with the 1.2-litre petrol engine gets a black and red front bumper garnish and an Opulent Red front grille garnish.
The Delta, Delta +, and Delta+ (O) variants of the 1.2-litre engine receive further enhancements over the Sigma trim. These include red inserts in side moulding, black and red rear bumper garnish, illuminated door sill guard, and red-finished outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs).
The Delta+, Alpha, and Zeta trims with the 1-litre turbo-petrol engine get similar design enhancements. These include a grey and red exterior styling kit, black and red front and rear bumper garnish, illuminated door sill guard, carbon finish on interior elements, and an Opulent Red front grille garnish.
Engine Options
The Fronx Velocity Edition offers two engine options: a 1-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 1.2-litre petrol engine. The interior of the turbo-petrol variants also gets accessorised.
Despite these cosmetic changes, the feature suite remains the same as the regular Fronx models. The prices for the Maruti Fronx Velocity edition start at Rs 7.29 lakh (introductory), while the regular Fronx ranges from Rs 7.52 lakh to Rs 12.88 lakh (all prices are ex-showroom, pan India).
Market Competition
The Maruti Fronx SUV competes with its rebadged version, the Toyota Taisor. It also stands as an alternative to other subcompact SUVs like the Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite, Maruti Brezza, Citroen C3, and Hyundai Exter.
Maruti Suzuki has been introducing special editions for its latest Nexa SUVs and crossovers in recent years. The expansion of the Fronx Velocity Edition to all variants is part of this strategy.
This move aims to offer more choices to customers looking for enhanced aesthetics in their vehicles without compromising on features or performance.
