Spy Pics: Maruti Suzuki eVitara Spotted Ahead Of Auto Expo 2025 Launch
The Maruti Suzuki eVitara, the firm's first-ever EV has been spotted testing ahead of its launch at Auto Expo 2025. The Maruti Suzuki eVitara was first revealed to the world as the EVX concept electric SUV at Auto Expo 2023
The production-spec eVitara made its debut on the sidelines of the 2024 EICMA motorcycle show for which Suzuki's car division was a partner. The camouflaged test mule of the Maruti Suzuki eVitara that was spotted in Gurugram looks quite similar to the electric SUV showcased in Milan in November.

The test mule in question features quite a bit of black camouflage but even with that it is quite clear to see that the vehicle in question is the eVitara. The rear section of the eVitara features a raked windscreen unit and connected taillights with the Y-shaped LED element.
Also seen on the test mule of the Maruti Suzuki eVitara was the charging port that sits on the front left wheel arch of the electric SUV. Speaking of the wheelarches, the cladding on them as well as on the doors are clearly visible.

Other highlights seen on the eVitara include the hidden rear door latch that sits next to the rear window and the 18-inch alloy wheels. The wheels are different to the 19-inch units that were seen on the show car from EICMA and come draped in 225/55 section MRF Wanderer tyres.
Quite a few details about the Maruti Suzuki eVitara are already out. The eVitara measures 4,275mm long, 1,800mm wide, 1,635mm tall and has a 2,700mm long wheelbase. The Maruti Suzuki eVitara offers 180mm of ground clearance and weighs between 1,702 and 1,899kg.

The difference in weight is because the Maruti Suzuki eVitara will be offered with two different battery packs - 49kWh and 61kWh. The smaller battery pack is paired with an electric motor mounted to the front axle that pushes out 172bhp and 189Nm of peak torque. The larger battery pack variant is paired with both single motor and dual motor (all-wheel drive) that pushes the output to 181bhp and 300Nm.
The Maruti Suzuki eVitara is expected to be launched in January at Auto Expo 2025 and could go on sale in the following months. A version of the SUV bearing the Toyota badge is expected to go on sale in India a few months later.
