Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Sees A 78% Sales Increase In Indian Car Market
The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga remains a favourite among Indian car buyers. This multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) competes with models like the Kia Carens and Renault Triber. Its 7-seater capacity makes it ideal for large families. Additionally, its competitive pricing and impressive mileage contribute significantly to its popularity.
The latest sales data highlights the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga's strong market presence. The list of the top 10 best-selling cars in India for the first half of 2024 (January-June) has been released, with the Ertiga securing the 7th spot.

In the first six months of 2023, Maruti Suzuki sold 49,732 units of the Ertiga in India. This figure surged to 88,378 units in the same period of 2024, marking a 78% increase.
The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is priced attractively, starting at Rs 8.69 lakh, with the top variant costing Rs 13.03 lakh (ex-showroom). This pricing makes it one of the most value-for-money cars in its segment. The vehicle is equipped with numerous features, including a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, paddle shifters, and cruise control.

Safety features are also a priority in the Ertiga. It comes with airbags, rear parking sensors, an electronic stability program, and hill-hold assist. These features ensure that passengers are well-protected during their journeys.
One of the standout aspects of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is its fuel efficiency. According to Maruti Suzuki, the petrol/manual variants offer a mileage of 20.5km/l. The petrol/automatic variants provide slightly lower mileage at 20.30km/l. The CNG engine variant boasts an impressive mileage of 26.11km/kg but is only available with a manual gearbox.
The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga's combination of features and fuel efficiency makes it a compelling choice for buyers seeking an MPV that can accommodate many passengers while delivering excellent mileage.
