Maruti Suzuki Dzire VXi: The Most Value-For-Money Variant
Maruti Suzuki launched the 4th generation Dzire sedan in India with a starting price of Rs 6.79 lakh (ex-showroom). While the base LXi variant itself comes loaded with plenty of features, we think the mid-spec VXi variant offers the best value for money.
For starters, the Dzire VXi comes with some extra essential features which we think could be very useful for a buyer. Also, the VXi variant of the Dzire is a lot more affordable compared to the ZXi and ZXi+ variants.

On the outside, the Dzire VXi comes equipped with body-coloured ORVMs with integrated turn indicators, front grille with chrome inserts, body-coloured door handles, and wheel covers. While these features can be added to the LXi, factory fit-and-finish cannot be replicated.
However, on the inside, the VXi variant further wows its users with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with OTA updates, steering-mounted controls, rear AC vents, and a height-adjustable driver seat. There's a Type-C USB charging port for second-row passengers as well.
That being said, the new Maruti Suzuki Dzire comes with 5-Star safety rating from Global NCAP, making it one of the safest cars you can currently buy in India. Some of the noticeable safety features include 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Hill Hold Assist (HHA), ABS with EBD, and ISOFIX child seat anchors.

Other safety features include high-speed warning alerts, reverse parking sensors, three-point seat belts for all seats, seat belt reminder lamps and buzzers for everyone, and front seat belts with pre-tensioners and force limiters.
The new Maruti Suzuki Dzire is powered by a new 1.2-litre 3-cylinder Z12E petrol engine, replacing the previous four-cylinder K-series engine. This engine is tuned to produce 82hp and 112Nm of torque.
Transmission options include a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 5-speed AMT unit. However, the CNG version of the Dzire sedan comes exclusively with a 5-speed manual transmission. The CNG model puts out 69hp and 102Nm of torque in CNG mode.
DriveSpark Thinks
With its decent feature list and competitive pricing, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire VXi continues to be an attractive option for a majority of car buyers.
