Maruti Dzire 2024: New Looks And Advanced Features
The all-new Dzire compact sedan from Maruti Suzuki is set to launch in the coming months, featuring a new 1.2-liter engine, unique looks, and advanced technology. Spy shots reveal that the Dire will have a completely different front fascia, ensuring it won't resemble the Swift in terms of exterior appearance.
The new Dzire will share many components with the recently launched Swift but will be further differentiated from the hatchback compared to its predecessors.
New Maruti Dzire to get upmarket looks
The Dzire will sport new headlamps, a new grille, and a front bumper that differ from those on the Swift. The headlamps on the new Dzire are more rectangular and slightly larger than those on the Swift. Higher variants will feature multibeam LEDs, while lower trims can expect a standard halogen setup.
The Swift now has projector headlamps on all variants, which could also be seen on the new Dzire. Previous spy shots showed a fresh rear look with new tail-lamps extending upwards and the license plate remaining on the tailgate.
The cabin will share many elements with the new Swift, but lighter colors are expected to create an airy feel. The 9-inch free-standing touchscreen, new HVAC controls, restyled dash, and analogue instrument cluster with a 4.2-inch digital MID are all anticipated to carry over. Additionally, it will offer a segment-first electric sunroof.
New Maruti Dzire to get Z-series engine
The new Dzire will be equipped with the same Z12E engine that debuted in the new Swift, replacing the K12 unit. This 1.2-litre, three-cylinder NA petrol engine produces 82hp and 112Nm of peak torque and will come with a 5-speed manual gearbox as well as an optional 5-speed AMT. The new Dzire could even become the most fuel-efficient car in its segment, just like the Swift.
Initially available only with a petrol powertrain at launch, a CNG option will be added later. It will continue to compete against models such as Hyundai Aura, Honda Amaze, and Tata Tigor.
