New-Gen Maruti Suzuki Dzire CNG To Be Available In 2 Variants: All Details Here
Maruti Suzuki has unveiled the latest version of its Dzire sedan, featuring both petrol and CNG options. The Dzire is available in four variants: LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi Plus. The CNG variant is offered in two trims: VXi MT and ZXi MT. The VXi trim is mid-spec, while the ZXi is just below the top-tier option.
This CNG model utilises the same 1.2-litre Z-Series engine, delivering 68bhp and 101.8Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. The official prices for this new generation Dzire will be revealed on 11 November 2024, with bookings already open for a deposit of Rs. 11,000.

Fuel Efficiency and Engine Details
Maruti claims an impressive mileage of 33.73km/kg for the Dzire CNG. In comparison, its hatchback counterpart, the Swift CNG, offers a slightly lower mileage of 32.85km/kg. The petrol variant of the Dzire comes with a 1.2-litre engine available in both manual and AMT gearbox options. The petrol manual version achieves a fuel efficiency of 24.79kmpl, while the AMT variant offers 25.71kmpl.
The new Dzire's engine lineup includes a 1.2-litre three-cylinder unit that powers both petrol and CNG versions. In standard mode, this engine produces 80bhp and 112Nm of peak torque when running on petrol alone. The CNG version is exclusively available with a manual transmission.

Features and Trim Levels
The VXi trim adds exterior enhancements and more features compared to the base LXi variant. Moving up to the ZXi trim brings additional amenities such as 15-inch alloy wheels, a reverse parking camera, TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System), a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless phone mirroring, push-button start, automatic headlamps, rear AC vents, and Suzuki Connect for connected car services.
The new Dzire faces competition from several rivals in the CNG segment including Hyundai Aura CNG, Hyundai Exter CNG, Tata Tigor CNG, Hyundai Grand i10 Nios CNG, Maruti Fronx CNG, Maruti Baleno CNG, Toyota Glanza CNG, and Toyota Taisor CNG.

With these updates and features across its variants, Maruti Suzuki aims to strengthen its position in India's compact sedan market by offering consumers more choices in terms of fuel type and technology integration within their vehicles.
