Maruti Suzuki Extends Dream Series Hatchback Sales Due To High Demand
Maruti Suzuki, India's top car manufacturer, launched a special edition of its three main hatchback models, named the Dream Series, early last month. This initiative aimed to boost sales of these models in the country.
The Dream Series includes the Alto K10, S-Presso, and Celerio, which are entry-level hatchbacks from the company. Initially, these models were available for a limited time. However, it is now reported that the sale of the Dream Series edition has been extended until July 31, 2021.

Maruti Suzuki has officially stated that the Dream Series special editions have been well-received by customers, similar to the regular versions of these cars. The company claims that around 21,000 pre-bookings have been made for the Dream Series models.
This success has led to a 17 per cent increase in sales through Maruti Suzuki's Arena channel. The introduction of the Dream Series edition has indeed proven beneficial for the company.
The special edition is priced at Rs 4.99 lakh and is available on specific variants of these cars. The Alto K10 is offered in the VXI+ variant, while the S-Presso comes in the VXI+ variant and the Celerio is available in the LXI variant. These special edition cars come with additional features to enhance their appeal.
The Alto K10 Dream Series includes features like a reverse parking camera and a security system. The S-Presso Dream Series also gets a reverse parking camera and security camera along with a set of two speakers. Additionally, it features wheel arch cladding, side skid plates, rear skid plates, a front chrome grille, chrome garnish on the tailgate, and a number plate frame to improve its look.
The Celerio Dream Series is equipped with a Pioneer multimedia stereo, reverse parking camera, and two speakers. Maruti Suzuki introduced the Dream Series to provide advanced features in entry-level cars as well. The positive reception of these models has led to an extension of their availability until the end of this month.
It remains uncertain whether the Dream Series will be extended beyond July 31. Current reports suggest that it is unlikely to continue into the next month. Maruti Suzuki's decision will likely depend on ongoing customer demand and market conditions.
The introduction of the Dream Series has significantly boosted Maruti Suzuki's sales figures. The company's strategy to offer enhanced features in entry-level models has resonated well with customers. As a result, Maruti Suzuki's Arena channel has seen notable growth in sales.
Overall, Maruti Suzuki's Dream Series has been successful in attracting buyers looking for feature-rich yet affordable hatchbacks. Whether this success will lead to further extensions or new special editions remains to be seen.
