Honda Civic To Challenge Maruti Suzuki Ciaz With Fuel Efficiency In India
The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz stands out as a premium sedan, renowned for its high fuel efficiency. The manual transmission variant delivers an impressive 20.65 km/l, while the automatic transmission option offers 20.04 km/l. These figures make it a popular choice among Indian consumers looking for economical driving options.
Honda is gearing up to introduce the Civic in India, aiming to rival the Ciaz's fuel efficiency. The 2025 Civic is anticipated to feature advanced hybrid technology, positioning it as a leader in both fuel efficiency and performance. This could present a significant challenge to the Ciaz's market dominance.

Current Honda Lineup and Expected Features of the New Civic
Currently, Honda's lineup in India includes the City (5th generation and e:HEV), Amaze, and WR-V models. The Civic is not yet available.
The new Civic is expected to be not only fuel-efficient and powerful but also sporty in appearance, featuring a bold front design, new grille, bumper, sharp headlights, and attractive taillights.

Hybrid System and Expected Mileage
The 2025 Civic will likely employ a two-motor hybrid system, enhancing its efficiency and power. While official mileage figures are pending, estimates suggest it could deliver an impressive 25-26 km/l. Globally, the Civic will be available in four trim levels: LX, Sport, Sport Hybrid, and Sport Touring.
Engine Options and Safety Features
The 2025 Civic is expected to offer engine options including a 1.5-liter turbo and a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine. Advanced safety features are also anticipated, such as a driver assistance system, collision mitigation braking system, pedestrian detection, forward collision warning, lane keep assist system, and adaptive cruise control.

DriveSpark Thinks
An official launch date for the Civic in India has not been announced yet. However, it is expected to join Honda's lineup soon after the success of the WR-V SUV. The Civic could potentially become a major competitor to the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz in the Indian market.
