Maruti Suzuki Launches Celerio Special Edition Launched In India: Gets Accessories Worth Rs 11,000
Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has introduced a special edition of the Celerio featuring accessories worth Rs. 11,000. This offer is available until December 20, 2024. Starting at Rs. 4.99 lakh (ex-showroom), even the base variant includes enhancements like a body kit and chrome side moulding to enhance its visual appeal.
The Celerio's exterior also boasts a roof spoiler, two-tone door sill guards, and custom floor mats. However, no other changes have been made to the features list. The vehicle retains its mechanical specifications with a 1.0L three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine. It comes with a standard five-speed manual transmission or an optional five-speed AMT.
Maruti Suzuki's Milestones and Achievements
Recently, Maruti Suzuki achieved a significant milestone by producing two million units in a single calendar year. This achievement underscores its position as the largest car manufacturer in India. Additionally, the company is celebrating 25 years of the WagonR in the domestic market.
The WagonR was launched in 1999 as the 'Tall Boy’ model and quickly became popular for its spacious design and family-friendly features. Its enduring popularity is evident as it has been India's top-selling car for three consecutive years.
WagonR's Versatility and Features
The WagonR offers various variants powered by two K-Series Dual Jet, Dual VVT engines – 1.2L and 1.0L. Customers can choose between manual or AGS transmission options to suit their driving preferences. Notably, it was among the first cars in India to provide a factory-fitted CNG system.
The vehicle's features include an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Electronic Stability Program (ESP), and a SmartPlay Studio touchscreen infotainment system measuring 17.78 cm with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.
Celerio's Role in Popularising AMT
The Celerio has played a pivotal role in popularising AMT transmissions within the mass market segment. This small hatchback also offers an optional factory-fitted CNG kit for those seeking alternative fuel options.
Additional features include Bluetooth connectivity, voice commands, steering-mounted audio controls, and more, ensuring a comprehensive driving experience for users.
