Maruti Suzuki Brezza Battles Rivals: Unique SUV Features
Maruti Suzuki Brezza, a subcompact SUV that was once the leader in its segment, is facing tough competition from rivals like Tata Nexon and Mahindra XUV 3XO. While these competitors have made significant updates to their vehicles, the Brezza still has its own strengths that make it a compelling option for buyers.
One of the standout features of the Brezza is its heads-up display (HUD), which is a unique advantage in the sub-4m SUV segment. The HUD projects important driving information onto the windshield, allowing drivers to keep their eyes on the road. It displays details like speed, fuel level, gear selection, time, and mileage, keeping drivers informed and focused.

Another advantage of the Brezza is its CNG option. Maruti was the first to introduce a CNG variant in the subcompact SUV segment, giving it an edge over its competitors. This fuel-efficient powertrain appeals to cost-conscious buyers who want lower running costs.
The Brezza CNG comes in three variants with prices starting from ₹9.24 lakh to ₹12.15 lakh, making it an attractive option for budget-minded drivers. The Brezza is powered by a 1.5-liter K15C petrol engine that offers a balance of performance and fuel efficiency.

It generates 102 bhp of power and 137 Nm of torque, which puts it in line with other subcompact SUVs. The engine can be paired with either a five-speed manual gearbox or a six-speed automatic transmission, catering to different preferences.
In terms of fuel efficiency, the Brezza offers a more economical option with its automatic transmission. Maruti claims a fuel efficiency of 19.8 kmpl for the automatic variants of the Brezza, thanks to its smart-hybrid technology.

This is higher than the fuel efficiency offered by competitors like Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Kia Sonet, and Hyundai Venue. While some competitors have embraced a bold and sculpted design, the Brezza retains a classic, boxy SUV silhouette.
It has a clean and uncluttered design with wraparound LED taillights and the option for dual-tone alloy wheels, adding a touch of modern flair. Despite facing tough competition, the Maruti Suzuki Brezza still holds its own in the subcompact SUV segment.

Its unique features like the heads-up display and CNG option, along with its fuel efficiency and classic design, make it a compelling choice for buyers.
DriveSpark Thinks
While the Maruti Suzuki Brezza may not be the undisputed leader it once was, it has adapted to the evolving subcompact SUV market. With its unique features like the segment-first heads-up display and fuel-efficient CNG option, the Brezza caters to budget-minded and tech-savvy buyers.

The classic design and comfortable performance ensure it remains a strong contender. Ultimately, the choice between the Brezza and its rivals boils down to individual priorities, but the Brezza shouldn't be overlooked with its well-rounded package.
