Mahindra XUV700 Achieves 2 Lakh Sales Milestone: A Tale Remarkable Feats
Since its debut in September 2021, the Mahindra XUV700 has become a significant player in the mid-size SUV market, admired for its extensive feature set and flexible seating arrangements, available in both 5-seat and 7-seat configurations. This vehicle, standing as Mahindra's premier offering, has not only set a high bar in its category but has also seen remarkable sales achievements over the years.
In August 2024, the Mahindra XUV700 celebrated a significant milestone by surpassing 2 lakh domestic sales, a testament to its enduring popularity among Indian consumers. This milestone came after the model reached the 2 lakh production mark just two months prior, in June 2024. From its launch till August 2024, a total of 205,978 units were sold, averaging 5,722 units per month, showcasing the vehicle's consistent demand.
Steady Growth in Sales
The sales trajectory of the Mahindra XUV700 has shown impressive growth since its introduction to the market. Initially, in the first four months post-launch, the SUV sold 11,964 units, which translates to an average of 2,991 units per month. This figure saw a significant increase in the following year, with 65,371 units sold from January to December 2022, averaging 5,448 units per month.
The growth trend continued into 2023, with sales reaching 74,434 units for the year, further climbing to an average of 6,203 units per month. As of 2024, year-to-date sales have amounted to 54,209 units, with an average of 6,776 units sold each month, indicating a potential record-setting year for the XUV700.
The XUV700's peak monthly sales were recorded in October 2023, with 9,297 units sold, closely followed by 9,007 units in August 2024. This peak performance demonstrates the SUV's strong market presence and consumer appeal, with sales never dipping below 8,555 units in any month since its launch, a figure achieved in September 2023.
What Makes the XUV700 Stand Out?
Several factors contribute to the XUV700's widespread appeal. Built with Mahindra's renowned robustness, the vehicle offers a commanding road presence and modern styling. Its most notable achievement is receiving a 5-Star Safety Rating from Global NCAP, highlighting its commitment to passenger safety.
Additionally, it was the first in its segment to come equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), further solidifying its position as a leader in automotive safety and technology.
Mahindra has continuously updated the XUV700 range with new features and models to keep it competitive. For instance, in July 2024, to celebrate the third anniversary of the XUV700 and the production of 200,000 units, the company launched the Mahindra XUV700 AX7. This new variant featured a substantial price reduction of Rs 2.2 lakh and introduced two new color options, Deep Forest and Burnt Sienna.
