Mahindra XUV700 Prices Slashed With Immediate Effect: Aims To Attract Buyers Before Festive Season
Mahindra has significantly reduced the prices of its popular XUV700 model. This move aims to make the vehicle more affordable for potential buyers. The XUV700, launched in 2021, has undergone several updates and price adjustments since its debut. The latest price cuts apply to various diesel engine variants, making the car more attractive to a broader audience.
Mahindra XUV700 Price Cut
The AX3 variant with a diesel engine and automatic gearbox now costs Rs 20,000 less. This reduction applies to the 7-seater option. Similarly, the AX5 variant with the same engine and gearbox configuration has also seen a Rs 20,000 price cut for the 5-seater option. The new price for the AX5 diesel automatic 7-seater is Rs 20.39 lakhs, which is Rs 70,000 less than before.
Additionally, the AX5 diesel manual 7-seater variant's price has been slashed by Rs 50,000. These reductions are part of Mahindra's strategy to make the XUV700 more competitive in the market. The AX5 manual 7-seater and AX5 manual 7-seater with electronic stability have also seen a Rs 50,000 reduction each.
The XUV700 offers two engine choices: a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 2.2-litre diesel engine. The turbo-petrol engine delivers a maximum power of 197 bhp and 380 Nm of torque. On the other hand, the diesel engine produces up to 182 bhp and 450 Nm of torque. Both engines come with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
Safety Features and Ratings
Safety is a key focus for Mahindra's XUV700. The car is equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), seven airbags, electronic stability control, an electronic park brake, and auto-booster headlamps. These features have helped the XUV700 earn a five-star rating in the Global NCAP crash test.
The XUV700 also offers an all-wheel-drive system in certain variants, enhancing its appeal to those seeking better traction and control. These comprehensive safety features make it one of India's safest cars.
Impact on Sales
With these price reductions, Mahindra aims to boost sales of the XUV700 in the coming months. The car's enhanced affordability is expected to attract more buyers, contributing to an increase in sales figures.
Mahindra's decision to lower prices comes after several updates and changes to the XUV700 since its launch as a replacement for the XUV500. The company has introduced new variants while discontinuing others over the past three years.
The recent price cuts follow a significant reduction in July when top variants saw prices drop by over Rs 2 lakhs. This trend indicates Mahindra's commitment to keeping the XUV700 competitively priced.
The XUV700 continues to be one of Mahindra's best-selling models due to its blend of performance, safety features, and now, more affordable pricing options. These strategic price adjustments are likely to enhance Mahindra's market position and attract a wider customer base for the XUV700.
