Upcoming Mahindra XUV700 Facelift SUV Spied Testing In Bangalore – More Features & Minor Design Updates Expect

The Mahindra XUV700 continues to churn sales figures like it was launched yesterday. However, the competition is now stiffer than ever with the launch of the updated Tata Safari and Jeep Compass with revised pricing. As such, an update is necessary to make the XUV700 continue its sales momentum. In line with this requirement, a Mahindra XUV700 test mule was recently spotted in Bangalore.

Looking at the spied images, the test mule does not seem to be the electric variant of the XUV700. As such, we expect this model to be the facelifted version of the XUV700 SUV.

Upcoming Mahindra XUV700 Facelift SUV

Since the Mahindra XUV700 is already a very well-equipped SUV with top-tier features such as Level-2 ADAS tech, panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, connected car tech, and other advanced features, we expect the updated version to add a few more convenience-aiding features.

As such, we expect the upcoming facelifted version of the Mahindra XUV700 to come equipped with additional features such as ventilated captain seats on the second row, and a few more connected car tech features.

There is also a possibility of Mahindra adding a few more sensors to the ADAS kit to make the model a bit safer as well. This could help Mahindra add more autonomous tech in the future.

Other than added tech and safety features, we also expect the upcoming Mahindra XUV700 SUV to come with minor design revisions on both the outside and inside. This could pave the way to a redesigned front grille, updated headlight, revised taillight graphics, new alloy wheels and reprofiled front and rear bumpers.

On the inside, the upcoming Mahindra XUV700 facelift could feature new AC controls, an updated steering wheel, and a darker-themed interior as well. The latter will make the interior a lot easier to maintain.

That being said, the Mahindra XUV700 already comes with a very good engine choice - A 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine in two states of tune and a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine. As such, we do not expect to see any changes introduced to the powertrain.

Also, we expect the Mahindra XUV700 facelift SUV to be launched around the upcoming festive season. Moreover, the sales push during this season will give the automaker a major boost in sales figures.

DriveSpark Thinks

The upcoming Mahindra XUV700 facelift will help the automaker continue its strong sales momentum for at least another year. Moreover, the launch of this model could push other automakers to take bolder decisions regarding their product development, ultimately resulting in the launch of better products for the end user.
