7 Advantages In The Mahindra XUV 3XO That Tata Nexon Owners Can Only Dream About: Stepping Up The Game
The recently unveiled Mahindra XUV 3XO has sparked considerable attention in the automobile industry. As the updated version of the XUV300, it not only introduces a fresh design and additional features but also steps up in terms of safety and powertrain options.
Positioned against the Tata Nexon, another popular choice in the subcompact SUV segment, the XUV 3XO showcases several advantages that might tilt the scales in its favour for prospective buyers.

Panoramic Sunroof
One of the standout features of the XUV 3XO is its panoramic sunroof, a first in India's subcompact SUV category. This feature significantly enhances the driving experience, offering a more open and airy cabin atmosphere compared to the Nexon's single-pane sunroof.
Dual-Zone Climate Control
Furthermore, the XUV 3XO raises the comfort bar with its dual-zone climate control system, allowing front passengers to personalize temperature settings in their immediate vicinity. This feature remains unmatched in the segment, including by the Nexon.

ADAS Tech
The Mahindra XUV 3XO also leads in safety features with the introduction of level 2 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), including adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, and lane-keep assist. This marks a significant leap forward in ensuring passenger safety, a domain where the Nexon lags behind without these advanced features.

Electronic Parking Brake
Additional conveniences such as an electronic parking brake with auto-hold functionality further distinguish the XUV 3XO. This feature not only simplifies operation but also enhances the vehicle's interior aesthetics by eliminating the need for a manual lever.

Braking Hardware
In terms of braking capabilities, the XUV 3XO is equipped with all-wheel disc brakes for superior stopping power, unlike the Nexon which has disc brakes only at the front.
Bigger Alloy Wheels
The XUV 3XO doesn't stop impressing there; it offers bigger 17-inch alloy wheels for a more commanding road presence and improved aesthetics over the Nexon's 16-inch alloys, even though both vehicles share the same tyre width.

Powertain & Pricing
Under the hood, the XUV 3XO outperforms with its powertrain options, including two turbo-petrol engines and a diesel engine. The 1.2-litre direct injection turbo-petrol variant of the XUV 3XO produces more power and torque than the Nexon's engines.
Mahindra's offering includes a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine delivering 111bhp and 200Nm, a more potent 1.2-litre direct injection turbo-petrol with 129bhp and 230Nm, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine with 116bhp and 300Nm. In contrast, the Nexon's engines peak at 118bhp for petrol and 114bhp for diesel, with torque maxing out at 170Nm and 260Nm, respectively.

Regarding pricing, the XUV 3XO presents itself as a more economically viable option starting from Rs 7.49 lakh to Rs 15.49 lakh, compared to the Nexon's price range of Rs 7.99 lakh to Rs 15.80 lakh (All prices in ex-showroom).
DriveSpark Thinks
With the launch of the Mahindra XUV 3XO SUV, Mahindra is aiming for the crown in the sub-4m segment. To achieve this, Mahindra has left no stone unturned, making sure the new XUV 3XO SUV is a step ahead of its closest rivals.
