Mahindra XEV 7e Spotted Testing In Bengaluru: Likely To Be Showcased At The Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025

Mahindra is enjoying a significant boost in sales in recent years, thanks to its new launches including Thar Roxx, XUV 3XO, Scorpio N, and XUV700. Moreover, Mahindra recently made a giant stride in the EV industry with the introduction of BE 6 and XEV 9e electric SUVs.

In tandem with the growing demand for EVs, Mahindra plans to launch new electric vehicles in the Indian market. In addition to the above-mentioned BE 6 and XEV 9e electric SUVs, the automaker is also planning to launch the XEV 7e.

However, unlike the Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9e electric SUVs, the Mahindra XEV 7e is based on the XUV700 SUV. In fact, the Mahindra XEV 7e electric SUV shares many body panels and other design elements with the XUV700 SUV.

No, ahead of the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, the upcoming Mahindra XEV 7e electric SUV has been spotted testing in Bengaluru. Though this model has been spied earlier, this particular test mule looks like it has almost reached final form with a different front-end design that is similar to Mahindra's latest electric SUVs.

Further analysing the spy shot, we can see the Mahindra XUV 7e test mule sporting a different set of alloy wheels compared to the Mahindra XUV 700 SUV. That being said, the rear section of the test mule looks very similar to the XUV700; however, we expect the production version to sport similar taillights, albeit with different light graphics.

On the inside, test mules of the Mahindra XEV 7e have been spotted with an enormous triple-screen setup on the dashboard, much like the XEV 9e electric SUV. As such, it is safe to expect such setup on the production version of the Mahindra XEV 7e electric SUV as well.

Furthermore, according to recently leaked images of the Mahindra XEV 7e, the model will come equipped with two captain seats in the middle row, making the model a 6-seater. However, we do expect XEV 7e to offer a bench seat in the middle row at least as an option to aid flexibility.

In terms of features, expect the XEV 7e to come loaded with tech, including Level 2 ADAS tech, ventilated seats, 360-degree camera, a wireless charging pad, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, panoramic sunroof, and other latest goodies.
We expect the powertrain of the Mahindra XEV 7e to be similar to the XEV 9e electric SUV. This means the model will be offered with a choice of two battery pack options: 59kWh and 79kWh.

Speaking of the battery pack, the XEV 7e variant with the smaller battery pack is likely to be paired with a rear-mounted electric motor with 224bhp, whereas the model with the bigger battery pack is suspected to utilise a slightly more powerful 278bhp electric motor.
