Mahindra's Big Move: 16 New Vehicles To Hit Indian Roads By 2030
Mahindra has laid out an ambitious plan that will see the introduction of 16 new vehicles in the Indian market by the end of this decade. This blueprint includes nine new internal combustion engine (ICE) powered SUVs and seven innovative electric vehicles (EVs), marking a significant expansion in Mahindra's product lineup.
Among the ICE vehicles, consumers can anticipate mid-cycle updates for three existing models, including the newly unveiled XUV 3XO, with the rest being brand new entries into the market.

Among these, the Thar 5-door variant stands out, potentially named Thar Armada, promising to share characteristics with the Scorpio N and Thar 3-door, including multiple engine options.
The Scorpio pickup, initially presented as a concept, is expected to debut in international markets before making its way to India. Further innovation is seen with the development of the U171 platform, which will underpin the new Bolero SUV and its seven-seat version, along with a range of SUVs and pickups.
For the electric vehicle enthusiasts, Mahindra's commitment to electrification is evident with their new BEV lineup. Built on the INGLO platform, models like the XUV.e8 and XUV.e9 coupe are slated for launch in the near future. These vehicles, with battery sizes ranging from 60-80kWh, promise fast charging capabilities and impressive driving ranges.
The excitement around Mahindra's future products is palpable. With the XUV 3XO deliveries starting on May 26 and the anticipation for the upcoming EVs and ICE SUVs, Mahindra is set to cater to a wide range of consumer preferences.
Also notable, the reduction in order backlogs for the Scorpio N and Scorpio Classic to 86,000 units and the Bolero models to 10,000 units, indicates a strong market demand for Mahindra's current offerings.
