Mahindra Thar Roxx Bookings Commence Today: All Details Here Including Token Amount
The excitement for the Mahindra Thar Roxx has been building since its launch on August 14, and now enthusiasts are close to being able to secure their own. Starting today (October 3), Mahindra will officially begin accepting bookings for the Thar Roxx SUV.
This comes after the company started offering test drives on September 14, showing a robust interest among potential buyers in India. For those eager to make their booking, reports suggest that a booking fee of ₹21,000 is required, which can be made through Mahindra's official online platform or by visiting a nearby showroom.
The Mahindra Thar Roxx will be available in six different variants, catering to a wide range of preferences. It will feature both petrol and diesel engines, with options for Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) and All-Wheel Drive (AWD), and transmissions that include six-speed manual or automatic gearboxes.
The starting price for the RWD variant is ₹12.99 lakh, climbing up to ₹20.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-tier AX7L variant. The AWD variants, on the other hand, start at ₹18.79 lakh (ex-showroom), reaching up to ₹22.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for those who prefer the enhanced capability of a 4X4.
The Thar Roxx fuels its performance with a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine, delivering 174bhp and 380Nm of peak torque, and a 2.2-litre turbo diesel unit, offering 172bhp and 370Nm of torque.
Thar Roxx Joins Mahindra's SUV Lineup
Joining Mahindra's impressive lineup, the Thar Roxx becomes the ninth SUV and marks a significant addition, especially in the lifestyle segment. It stands out by being the first to offer a range of features such as ADAS, a panoramic sunroof, and ventilated seats, among others. As for the delivery timeline and expected waiting period, Mahindra has set the commencement of Thar Roxx deliveries for October 12, coinciding with the Dussehra festival. The pace of deliveries is anticipated to increase around the Diwali festival, which falls at the end of October. Despite the official bookings opening on October 3, there have been reports of several dealers accepting bookings unofficially prior to this date.
The Thar Roxx's pricing structure is detailed across its various models, with the entry-level RWD variant priced at ₹12.99 lakh and the top-end AX7L variant at ₹22.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
