Mahindra Thar Roxx Bookings To Commence Tomorrow: All Details You Need To Know
The Mahindra Thar Roxx, which was unveiled on August 14, is set to open its bookings tomorrow, October 3. This move comes after the vehicle garnered significant interest, with Mahindra test drives on September 14 to further pique potential buyers' curiosity.
The Thar Roxx, priced starting at ₹12.99 lakh (ex-showroom), marks a significant addition to Mahindra's current lineup of SUVs. It stands out in the lifestyle segment by being the first to offer features such as ADAS, a panoramic sunroof, and ventilated seats, among others.
This SUV, offering both petrol and diesel engine options, caters to a wide range of preferences with its six variants. Customers can choose between Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) and All-Wheel Drive (AWD) versions, with prices extending up to ₹22.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for the highest variant.
The engines promise robust performance, with the 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine delivering 174bhp and 380Nm of torque, and the 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine offering 172 bhp and 370 Nm of torque. The transmission options include a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox, ensuring a smooth driving experience across different terrains.
In anticipation of the booking commencement, reports suggest that a booking fee of ₹21,000 will be required, which can be made through Mahindra's official online platform or at any of their showrooms. This step comes as part of Mahindra's strategy to leverage the heightened interest in the Thar Roxx, further amplified by the pre-booking test drives initiated across India.
As Mahindra gears up for the delivery of the Thar Roxx, starting from October 12, coinciding with the Dussehra festival, the excitement is palpable. The delivery pace is expected to accelerate by Diwali, at the end of October. Despite the bookings officially starting tomorrow, some dealers have begun accepting them unofficially, with an anticipated waiting period of up to three months depending on various factors such as the variant chosen and the dealership location.
In response to feedback regarding maintenance concerns with the initial all-white interior theme of the SUV, Mahindra has introduced a new Premium Moch Brown colour theme. This decision showcases the carmaker's attentiveness to customer feedback and its commitment to offering desirable options that meet the needs and preferences of its buyers.
