Mahindra Thar Roxx 5-Door SUV Launched In India At Rs 12.99 Lakh: Even Base Variants Feature LED Headlights
Mahindra has launched the long-awaited Thar Roxx 5-door SUV in India with an aggressive starting price of just Rs 12.99 lakh (ex-showroom). However, this price is for the petrol variant, and diesel variant prices start at Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
That being said, Mahindra has only revealed the prices for the base-spec variants. Moreover, details and prices of the higher-spec variants of the Mahindra Thar Roxx 5-door SUV are set to be revealed tomorrow during the 78th Independence Day of India.
The base variant is named 'MX1' and comes with the tagline 'Base, But Not Basic'. Staying true to this tagline, the base 'MX1' variants of the Mahindra Thar Roxx 5-door SUV come loaded with pretty decent features.
Some of the noticeable features in the base variants of the Mahindra Thar Roxx 5-door SUV include LED projector headlamps, LED taillamps, 18-inch steel wheels, dual-tone metal top, rear AC vents, USB-C ports, 60:40 split seats, driver seat height adjustment, ESC, 6-airbags, Brake Locking Differential, push-button start, and a large 10-inch infotainment unit.
In addition to the manufacturer revealing the features of the base-spec Mahindra Thar Roxx 5-door SUV, the company has also revealed a few key powertrain specifications as well.
According to the details revealed, the petrol-powered Mahindra Thar Roxx MX1 puts out 160hp and 330Nm of peak torque. On the other hand, the diesel variant of the Thar Roxx MX1 produces 150hp and an identical 330Nm of peak torque.
That being said, Mahindra is yet to reveal the transmission details of the Mahindra Thar Roxx MX1 variants. Furthermore, we expect the base models not to sport the 4WD system, which will be present in higher-spec models.
