Mahindra Thar Armada Likely To Get Level 2 ADAS & Panoramic Sunroof: Perfect Blend Of Luxury & Ruggedness
Mahindra's upcoming Thar 5-door, likely to be named Thar Armada, will feature three engines and two gearbox options. This highly anticipated launch is likely to introduce several first-in-class features, including a panoramic sunroof and ADAS level 2.
Recent spy shots have revealed that the Thar 5-door test mules sporting a dual-pane sunroof. Earlier test vehicles had a single-pane sunroof, which is likely to be expected in the mid-spec versions. This makes the Thar Armada the only ladder-frame SUV in India to offer a panoramic sunroof.
Advanced Safety Features
The ADAS level 2 safety features may include lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, forward-collision warning and assistance, among others. These advanced safety measures aim to enhance driving safety and convenience.

The Thar Armada is likely to offer three powertrains: an entry-level 1.5-litre diesel, a 2.2-litre diesel, and a 2.0-litre turbo petrol. Unofficial bookings for the Thar Armada have already started at the dealership level, even though Mahindra has not made any official announcements yet. Once launched, this lifestyle SUV will compete with the recently introduced Force Gurkha 5-door and Maruti Suzuki Jimny.
