Mahindra's SUV Lineup Become Pricier: Scorpio N & Bolero Neo Prices Hiked
Midway through 2024, Mahindra has announced price hikes for two of its popular SUV models, the Scorpio N and the Bolero Neo. This move comes shortly after the company increased the cost of its Thar lifestyle off-road SUV. Known as India's leading SUV manufacturer, Mahindra has yet to disclose the specific reasons behind these adjustments.
The Scorpio N, a key player in Mahindra's lineup, along with its counterpart, the Scorpio Classic, dominates the mid-size SUV segment. On the other hand, the Bolero Neo, a rebadged version of the TUV300, has found favour among semi-urban and rural customers for its robustness.

Scorpio N Sees Price Adjustment
The Scorpio N's price has seen an adjustment across various variants. The base model, previously available at Rs 13.6 lakh (ex-showroom), now starts at Rs 13.85 lakh (ex-showroom). Specifically, the Z2 and Z4 trims, along with all diesel variants of the Z6 trim, have experienced a uniform hike of Rs 25,000.
For the higher-end 2WD variants of the Z8 trim (both petrol and diesel), prices have been upped by Rs 10,000. The Scorpio N's price range now extends from Rs 13.85 lakh (ex-showroom) for the entry-level Z2 Petrol MT 7S 2WD to Rs 24.54 lakh (ex-showroom) for the premium Z8L Diesel AT 4X4 7S variant.

Bolero Neo Price Increase
The Bolero Neo, a durable ladder-frame SUV, also undergoes a price increase but only for its N4 and N8 trim levels, by Rs 5,000 and Rs 14,000 respectively. Consequently, the Bolero Neo's pricing now begins at Rs. 9.95 lakh (ex-showroom) for the N4 MT variant and reaches up to Rs 12.15 lakh (ex-showroom) for the high-end N10 (O) MT variant.
DriveSpark Thinks
Despite the price hike, both Scorpio N and Bolero Neo continue to offer the ruggedness and reliability that customers have come to expect from the brand. Mahindra's decision to adjust prices reflects the dynamic nature of the automobile market, influenced by various factors including manufacturing costs, market demand, and economic conditions.
