Mahindra Marazzo Makes A Comeback With New Pricing: Surprises Many
Mahindra has re-listed the Marazzo on its website, dispelling rumours of its discontinuation. However, the car now comes with a higher price tag, surprising many. Let's explore the details.
As the sales of family cars in India are on the rise, large capacity vehicles are particularly getting more and more popular, leading to increased sales and profits for manufacturers.

Mahindra is now offering the Marazzo at a price that is Rs. 20,000 higher than before. The car is available in six variants, with prices ranging from Rs. 14.39 lakh for the base variant to Rs. 17 lakh for the top variant (all prices in ex-showroom).
Many are puzzled as to why Mahindra has increased the price of the car, despite its lacklustre sales. The M2 7-seater variant, previously sold at Rs. 14.39 lakh, now costs Rs. 14.59 lakh. Similarly, the M2 8-seater variant has seen a price hike from Rs. 14.39 lakh to Rs. 14.59 lakh.
While Mahindra has been selling the Marazzo as an MPV in the large capacity segment, its sales have been underwhelming and have been declining month after month. This prompted Mahindra to remove the car from its website.

The sales of the car have been particularly dismal, with only 182 units sold in the last six months. While many anticipated that the car would be removed from the Mahindra website and discontinued, it has been re-listed at a higher price.
Rumours of the Marazzo's discontinuation started circulating as Mahindra has been selling the car for several years without any updates. The removal of the car from the website fuelled speculation about its official discontinuation.
Variant-Specific Price Changes
The M4 Plus variant, a 7-seater, used to cost Rs. 15.66 lakh but is now priced at Rs. 15.86 lakh. Similarly, the 8-seater version of the M4 variant, which previously sold at Rs. 15.74 lakh, is now priced at Rs. 15.94 lakh.

Coming to the M6 Plus variant, the 7-seater used to sell at Rs. 16.72 lakh but has now been increased to Rs. 14.92 lakh. The M6 Plus 8-seater variant, which was previously sold for Rs. 14.80 lakh, is now priced at Rs. 17 lakh.
DriveSpark Thinks
While sales of the Mahindra Marazzo have been declining, the company's decision to continue selling it at a higher price has sparked speculation that the car could receive an update to attract new buyers. This opens up the possibility that Mahindra might be looking to update the Marazzo with newer technology.
