Recently, the Mahindra BE.05 electric SUV was seen being tested on the roads of Bangalore. Spy shots also captured a Hyundai Ioniq 5 driving alongside the BE.05, suggesting growing competition in the Indian electric SUV market. Although the test mule was heavily camouflaged, some interior details were still visible, providing a glimpse into its features.
Interior Features
The interior of the BE.05, although covered, revealed a large dual-integrated screen setup. This includes one screen for the infotainment system and another for the driver's display. The steering wheel appears to be a two-spoke, square-ish unit with an illuminated 'BE’ logo, similar to the concept version.

Design Similarities
In terms of design, the Mahindra BE.05 closely mirrors its concept form. The front profile maintains a sharp look with a pointy bonnet, sleek LED DRLs, and a slim bumper. The rear features a split rear spoiler and a protruding end. From the side, it retains its silhouette and pop-up style door handles.
Battery and Range
The BE.05 electric SUV is expected to feature a 60 kWh battery pack with a claimed range of around 450 km. Mahindra states that it should support fast charging up to 175 kW, allowing the battery to charge from 5 to 80 per cent in just 30 minutes.
Platform and Performance
The Mahindra BE.05 will be built on the company's EV-specific INGLO platform, which supports front, rear, and all-wheel drivetrains. According to Mahindra, rear-wheel-drive models could offer up to 285 bhp, while all-wheel-drive variants might deliver up to 394 bhp.
Expected Launch and Price
The Mahindra BE.05 is anticipated to launch in India by October 2025 with prices starting from Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete against models like the MG ZS EV, and Hyundai Kona Electric, and upcoming vehicles such as the Hyundai Creta EV and Tata Curvv EV.

Though heavily camouflaged during testing, recent spy shots have given us glimpses into what can be expected from this electric SUV's interior and exterior design elements.
Mahindra claims that despite being covered during testing phases, key features like integrated screens and unique steering wheel designs are likely to make it into production models.
The BE.05 shares many design elements with its concept version both inside and out. This includes an integrated display setup and a squared two-spoke steering wheel featuring an illuminated 'BE' logo.
Additionally, Mahindra's new electric SUV is expected to come equipped with advanced battery technology capable of supporting fast charging capabilities that significantly reduce downtime for users.

With its launch set for October 2025 at an estimated starting price of Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom), the BE.05 aims to carve out its space in India's growing electric vehicle market by offering competitive features and performance metrics against established rivals.
This new model will also leverage Mahindra's INGLO platform designed specifically for electric vehicles ensuring versatility across different drivetrain configurations while maintaining high performance standards.
By integrating these advanced technologies along with sleek design cues from its concept form into production models like BE.05; Mahindra continues pushing forward within India's evolving automotive landscape focusing on sustainable mobility solutions tailored towards future needs without compromising on style or functionality.
