Mahindra BE 6e & XUV 9e Power, Battery Pack & Charging Details Revealed Ahead Of Launch
Mahindra is gearing up to introduce its BE 6e and XEV 9e electric SUVs, with a launch date set for November 26. These models are the first of Mah's 'born EVs' and are built on the INGLO platform. This modular platform supports both vehicles, offering flexibility in design and performance.
Battery Options and Charging Capabilities
The BE 6e and XEV 9e will be available with two battery options: a 59kWh pack and a larger 79kWh pack. Both utilise Lithium iron phosphate (LFP) chemistry. Mahindra claims that these batteries can charge from 20% to 80% in just 20 minutes when using a 175kW DC fast charger, making them convenient for quick top-ups.

Powertrain Specifications
Both SUVs feature a 'compact three-in-one powertrain' that integrates the motor, inverter, and transmission. The rear-wheel-drive models offer power outputs ranging from 231hp to 286hp. The BE 6e is expected to have an all-wheel-drive variant, which will include an additional motor on the front axle for increased power.
In addition to their powertrain capabilities, these e-SUVs will come equipped with drive modes tailored for different driving conditions. A semi-active suspension system is also included, enhancing ride comfort by adjusting to road conditions dynamically.
Advanced Technology Features
The Mahindra BE 6e and XEV 9e will incorporate brake-by-wire technology, which replaces traditional hydraulic systems with electronic controls for improved braking efficiency. This technology allows for more precise braking control and can contribute to energy recovery during deceleration.
While detailed information about the interiors and exteriors of these SUVs remains limited, Mahindra has promised more insights as the launch date approaches. Enthusiasts can expect further revelations about design elements and features soon.
The anticipation surrounding Mahindra's new electric SUVs highlights the brand's commitment to expanding its electric vehicle lineup. With innovative features and robust performance specifications, the BE 6e and XEV 9e aim to make a significant impact in the electric SUV market.
