Suzuki Fronx: Comparing The UAE And Indian Market Models
The Suzuki Fronx is gaining a whole lot of popularity in UAE after they received a shipment of these cars. However, it's the base variant that's taking the public by storm. So, let's compare the Indian Fronx to the one sold in UAE.
In the UAE, the Suzuki Fronx is available in two variants: GL and GLX. The GL variant is priced at 61,900 AED (approximately Rs 14.10 lakh), while the GLX variant costs 69,900 AED (around Rs 15.94 lakh). In contrast, the Indian version starts at Rs 7.52 lakh, making it significantly more affordable. The Zeta and Alpha variants in India are priced at Rs 11.96 lakh and Rs 12.88 lakh respectively.

Suzuki Fronx Engine Options
The UAE market offers only one engine option for the Fronx: a refined 1.5-litre K15C Dualjet engine producing 102 BHP and 137 Nm of torque. This engine comes with both manual and automatic transmission choices, including a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic. In comparison, Indian buyers have multiple engine options, including a punchier 1.0-litre Boosterjet Turbo Petrol engine.
| Maruti Fronx | Power-Torque | UAE-Spec Fronx | Power-Torque |
| 1.2 Petrol | 90 PS - 113 Nm | 1.5 Petrol | 102 PS - 137 Nm |
| 1.0 Turbo Petrol | 100 PS - 147 Nm | - |
Despite paying more for essentially the same car, UAE buyers miss out on some features available in India. The UAE-spec Fronx lacks Suzuki's connected car technology and the premium sound system from Arkamys found in the Indian version. Additionally, the GL variant does not include a 4.2-inch colour MID screen present in its Indian equivalent (Zeta variant).

Features Comparison
Both the Indian and UAE versions of the Fronx come equipped with several desirable features such as a 360-degree camera, a 9-inch touchscreen, push-button start/stop, steering-mounted controls, and dual-tone interiors. However, there are notable differences in terms of connected car technology and premium sound systems.
The limited availability of variants in the UAE means that buyers have fewer choices compared to their Indian counterparts. While Indian customers can choose from multiple variants catering to diverse preferences, UAE buyers are restricted to just two options: GL and GLX.

The Maruti Suzuki Fronx remains a solid choice for UAE car buyers seeking a compact vehicle with adequate power and comfort along with some SUV attributes. Despite lacking some features available in India, it offers better refinement with its larger engine without sacrificing much power or torque.
