Made-In-India Honda Elevate SUV Lanched In South Africa – Gets 5-Year Warranty
Honda has officially launched the made-in-India Elevate SUVs in South Africa. Prices for the Honda Elevate SUV in South Africa starts at R3,69,900 (approximately Rs. 15.92). That being said, the Elevate SUV is available in just two variants: Comfort and Elegance.
The exterior design of the Elevate mirrors the model available in India, featuring a bold and commanding presence on the road. Highlights include a tall bonnet with distinctive ridges, LED DRLs integrated into the headlamps, a blacked-out grille, fog lamps, functional roof rails, and an electrically adjustable sunroof.
The rear end is adorned with L-shaped LED taillights, a rear spoiler, and a shark fin antenna, further enhancing its aesthetic appeal. The vehicle rides on 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and is surrounded by black cladding for a rugged look. Also, buyers can choose from six exterior colours.
Inside, the cabin features black leatherette upholstery, along with a host of modern amenities. These include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, and wireless charging. Safety is also a priority, with six airbags.
Under the bonnet, the South African-spec Elevate is powered by the same 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, delivering 119bhp and 145Nm of peak torque. It is available with both a six-speed manual and a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) gearbox.
Honda has also enhanced the vehicle's value proposition by offering an extended standard warranty of five years or 2,00,000 kilometres, a significant increase from the three-year and unlimited-kilometre warranty available in India.
