Luftgekühlt 10 Marks A Decade With Grand Return To Universal Studios In October
The Tenth Anniversary event for Luftgekühlt will be held at Universal Studios Backlot with a reimagined layout. This celebration marks a significant milestone for the brand that honours air-cooled Porsches. The event, scheduled for October 5, promises to be the most remarkable gathering of air-cooled Porsches to date.
Patrick Long, Luft’s co-founder, expressed excitement about the upcoming event: "We’ve been looking at venues for many years with Luft 10 in mind and all agreed the Universal Studios Backlot provided the most incredible and memorable setting for Porsche’s legendary road and racing cars." He added, "We always strive to create a stunning, fresh experience for visitors of all walks, and we’re confident everybody will be buzzed by what we’re going to create."
Luftgekühlt began in 2014 in a small parking lot at Deus Ex Machina in Venice, CA. Over the years, it has grown into an international phenomenon. The brand has hosted events across Los Angeles, Indianapolis, San Francisco, Great Britain, Germany, Poland, and is set to visit Denmark on July 9, 2024.
Jeff Zwart, Luft’s creative director, highlighted the significance of this milestone: "Every good movie has a sequel, and it's time for ours!" The team plans to reinvent the Universal Studios Backlot with curated movie sets and city streets to offer fans a new experience.
Tickets for Luft 10 will soon be available on luftgekuhlt.com. Owners of air-cooled Porsches can register their vehicles to display them on the Backlot. Given the popularity of previous events, tickets and vehicle registration are expected to sell out quickly. Interested participants are encouraged to sign up for the Luftgekülht Newsletter on their homepage for updates.
A special capsule clothing collection commemorating Luft 10 will also be available both before the show and on-site at Universal Studios Backlot. Further details about this collection release will be shared soon.

Luftgekühlt celebrates all air-cooled Porsche models from the Pre-A 356 to the 993 series that ended in 1998. It started as a modest gathering showcasing historically significant street and race cars but has since evolved into an event attracting a global audience.
