Luftgekühlt 10 Marks 50 Years Of Porsche Turbo With Landmark Vehicles At Universal Studios
The air-cooled Porsche event will mark the 50th anniversary of the 911 Turbo. Tickets are available at luftgekuhlt.com, along with access to various pre- and post-event activities. The 911 Turbo, a symbol of high performance and innovation, has been admired by many for its distinctive design. Introduced on October 3, 1974, the 930 model solidified the 911 Turbo's legendary status.
Luftgekühlt 10 will feature iconic vehicles, including original and modified models, at Universal Studios Backlot. In line with tradition, significant racing cars like the Vasek Polak Racing Porsche 934 will be showcased. This car won the 1976 Trans-Am Championship with drivers George Follmer and Hurley Haywood. Attendees can explore these exhibits and more air-cooled Porsches.
The event's itinerary was shared through the Luft newsletter, offering fans multiple ways to engage. It begins on October 3 with a pre-party at Gunther Werks in Huntington Beach from 7-11 pm. The next day features a Rise & Shine pre-party at Race Service in Los Angeles from 9 am-12 pm. Later, enthusiasts can celebrate at the Petersen Automotive Museum from 6-10 pm.
Following Luft 10 on October 5, participants can join the Mobil 1 Air-Cooled Caravan on October 6. This rally starts at Hansen Dam Recreation Center at 7 am and concludes at Porsche Santa Clarita with a Cars & Coffee-style event. Registration details will be provided soon. Porsche Santa Clarita will also host an Official After Luft Brunch from 9 am-12 pm.
Although early access tickets sold out quickly, general admission tickets remain available at luftgekuhlt.com/pages/luft-10. Vehicle registration closed once capacity was reached. Past events have seen tickets sell out fast, so enthusiasts are encouraged to secure theirs promptly to avoid disappointment.
