Luciana Hermann Honoured With Woman Of Worth Award 2024
On 4 June 2024, Luciana Hermann, Regional Communications Director for Nissan Latin America, was selected as the recipient of the Woman of Worth (WOW) Award. The award, an initiative by Women’s Worldwide Car of the Year (WWCOTY), recognises outstanding contributions by women in the automotive industry. Hermann was chosen from a pool of 30 nominations, with ten finalists making it to the ultimate voting list.
Luciana Hermann has a distinguished career spanning 20 years in the automotive industry, retail sector, and B2B services. She has built integrated campaigns and led multicultural teams in cross-border operations across Brazil, Japan, Venezuela, and Mexico. As the head of the Diversity Council in Women’s Talent at Nissan LATAM, she has been instrumental in promoting inclusion within the organisation.
Upon learning about her selection as a finalist for the WOW Award, Hermann expressed her gratitude: "I got to know I was selected which is such important news for me and a clear sign that the efforts for inclusion are echoing outside!"
The WOW Award is an initiative spearheaded by Sandy Myhre, Honorary President of WWCOTY. The award aims to highlight the achievements of women in the automotive sector. Marta García, Executive President of WWCOTY, noted that the voting process was rigorous and expressed her delight that a woman from Latin America has been recognised.
The award also honours the late Sue Baker, one of WWCOTY's founding judges. Baker's insights and wisdom were highly valued during her tenure on the jury. She passed away in November 2022.
