Lamborghini Urus SE Takes The World Stage With Its First Plug-in Hybrid Super SUV
Automobili Lamborghini's first plug-in hybrid Super SUV, the Urus SE1, made a grand debut with over 4,000 customers and journalists attending 12 exclusive events across three continents. The vehicle's journey began in China on 24 April at the Beijing International Automotive Exhibition, where it garnered significant interest from more than 400 journalists.
The Urus SE1 continued its tour in Asia, visiting Shanghai, Bangkok's Royal Palace, Tokyo, and Kuala Lumpur by 4 June. This extensive tour allowed enthusiasts and media to experience the hybrid SUV firsthand. The vehicle's next stop was America, starting with an event in New York on 29 April in the Chelsea Arts District.
Following its New York debut, the Urus SE1 travelled to Toronto for another exclusive event. In May, it made its European debut at Italy's Motor Valley Fest, celebrating automotive excellence. The tour then moved to the United Kingdom for Lamborghini Day UK and proceeded to Dubai at the One & Only One Za'abeel.
Germany hosted an event at Kesselhaus near Munich before the tour concluded in France between Paris and the Côte d'Azur. Guests enjoyed luxurious settings with Mediterranean views while discovering the new model. Additionally, Lamborghini extended the Urus SE1's presence into the digital world through Roblox.
On Roblox, players could customise their virtual Urus SE1 in a special lounge designed by Studio Lamborghini Ad Personam. This digital engagement allowed brand enthusiasts to interact with Lamborghini's excellence directly from their consoles.
Performance and Environmental Impact
The Urus SE1 aims to transform the luxury car market with its dual power system. It boasts 800 hp and 950 Nm of torque, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds. In electric mode, it offers over 60 km of autonomy and reduces emissions by 80%, highlighting its decarbonisation efforts.
The vehicle has received positive feedback for its performance and design, leading to an order bank covering almost a year even before production starts. This strong response underscores the high expectations surrounding this new model.
The Urus SE1's global tour has successfully built anticipation among clients and media alike. Its combination of thermal and electric power sets a new standard in luxury SUVs while promoting environmental sustainability.
