Lamborghini Debuts Texas Showroom Featuring Hybrid Temerario
Automobili Lamborghini has inaugurated its first showroom in San Antonio, Texas. This marks a significant expansion of the brand's retail presence in the U.S. The grand opening showcased the Huracán successor, the Temerario, allowing customers to see and order the car in person for the first time.
The event was attended by key figures including Chairman and CEO Stephan Winkelmann, Chief Marketing and Sales Officer Federico Foschini, and Automobili Lamborghini America CEO Andrea Baldi. Winkelmann highlighted Texas as a prime market for showcasing the new model following its global debut at Monterey Car Week.
Lamborghini San Antonio is located at 27605 I-10, Boerne, TX 78006. The 40,000 square-foot facility offers an immersive brand experience with Italian automotive design and engineering. It features the latest super sports cars and Super SUVs, along with fashion offerings from Collezione and Accessori Originali.
The showroom also includes an Ad Personam customization room where clients can personalize their dream cars with unique colors and materials. This addition brings the total number of Lamborghini retail locations in Texas to four and 50 across the Americas.
Lamborghini has experienced substantial growth, delivering 5,558 cars globally in the first half of 2024. This represents a 4.1% increase over 2023 figures. The United States remains Lamborghini's top market, accounting for 1,637 units sold during this period.
The company is completing its electrification strategy by hybridizing its entire lineup. This includes the newly debuted Temerario, along with previous models like the Revuelto and Urus SE.
Showroom Highlights
Guests at the grand opening had the chance to see not only the Temerario but also other models like the Revuelto and Urus SE. The Temerario is a twin-turbo V8 hybrid super sports car with over 900 horsepower, accelerating from 0-62 mph in just 2.7 seconds.
The Revuelto boasts more than 1,000 horsepower and a top speed of 217 mph. It features a new 6.5-liter V12 mid-engine with three electric motors and an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Super SUV Offerings
For those interested in Super SUVs, the Urus SE offers a twin-turbo 4.0 V8 engine paired with a 25-kWh lithium-ion battery. This combination delivers a total output of 800 CV (789 horsepower) and reaches a top speed of 194 mph (Urus S: 190 mph).
"As a top market for the company, Texas is an ideal location to showcase the successor to the iconic Huracán – the best-selling super sports car in the history of the company – for the first time following our global debut during Monterey Car Week earlier this month," said Winkelmann.
With these developments, Lamborghini aims to better address customer needs in Texas while supporting its growing market for sports cars and luxury SUVs.
The inclusion of Lamborghini San Antonio facility marks a total of four Lamborghini retail destinations in Texas, and fifty across Americas.
This expansion aligns with Lamborghini's strategy to enhance its retail footprint while meeting increasing customer demand for high-performance vehicles.
