Lamborghini Lugano Celebrates Anniversary With Urus SE Super SUV Unveiling
Lamborghini Lugano celebrated its first anniversary with a grand event at Villa Heleneum, overlooking Lake Lugano. Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and CEO of Lamborghini, along with representatives from Lamborghini Lugano Sports Cars Sales & Service AG, hosted the celebration. The event also marked the Swiss debut of the Urus SE Super SUV.
"It is a great honor for me to celebrate the one-year anniversary of Lamborghini Lugano together with our customers at this outstanding location," stated Stephan Winkelmann. "The last twelve months have been a great success for us, not only in Switzerland but overall. We can look back on the successful launch of the HPEV Revuelto and the recently-presented Urus SE Super SUV, the most powerful car in its segment. With these two hybrid models we have realized important objectives of the Direzione Cor Tauri. At the same time, the orders we have received show us our customers really appreciate the approach we are taking to bring luxury and performance into the future."
The Urus SE features an 800 CV hybrid powertrain with revised aerodynamics and advanced technological solutions. It combines a combustion engine and an electric motor, achieving remarkable torque and performance values. This combination allows for an 80 percent reduction in emissions compared to previous models.
In terms of comfort, performance, efficiency, emissions, and driving pleasure, it surpasses its predecessor, the Urus S. The Urus SE's Swiss premiere showcased a Bianco Sapphirus model, highlighting its unique position in its segment.
Lamborghini also presented its 1015 hp Revuelto at the event. This model is Lamborghini's first V12 super sports plug-in hybrid HPEV. A second Revuelto was displayed on a raft floating on Lake Lugano, providing a stunning visual against the mountain and water backdrop.
Villa Heleneum is part of the Bally Foundation and has never hosted an automotive event before this celebration. Around 100 VIP guests attended to commemorate Lamborghini Lugano's anniversary in true Lamborghini style within the villa and its park.
The past year has been significant for Lamborghini with successful launches like the HPEV Revuelto and Urus SE Super SUV. These models represent key milestones in achieving Direzione Cor Tauri's goals by blending luxury with future-forward performance.
