Lamborghini's New Video Highlights Emotions And Promotes Diversity And Inclusion
Automobili Lamborghini has released a new video titled "The Touch: The Power of Emotions" to mark the European Month of Diversity. The video, launched on May 14, 2024, focuses on expressing emotions through touch, highlighting the unique ways individuals experience and convey feelings. This initiative underscores Lamborghini's dedication to diversity and inclusion.
The video was created in collaboration with the Italian Union of the Blind and Visually Impaired (UICI). It captures the sensations felt by participants when touching a Huracán Tecnica. Sensors attached to their hands translate these emotions into different colours, illustrating that touch can provide access to various forms of knowledge.
The inspiration for this project came from an incident at Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport. Luca Grasso, Director of Polo Tattile Multimediale in Catania, was denied the opportunity to touch a Lamborghini on display. This event prompted Lamborghini to partner with UICI's Milan branch to develop this inclusive project.
Since 2019, Lamborghini has been committed to making its history and products accessible to a broader audience. The Lamborghini Museum has hosted events conducted in Italian Sign Language (LIS), with certified interpreters guiding visitors through the brand's history and technological advancements.
Starting June 2024, the museum will offer guided tours for blind or visually impaired individuals. These guests can touch the models on display, experiencing Lamborghini's world through physical contact with the cars. Reservations for these tours can be made by emailing [email protected].
