Lamborghini Unveils Dreamaway Exhibition To Mark 60 Years Of Iconic Design
A modern art exhibition celebrating Automobili Lamborghini's 60 years of innovation and design has opened at the company's Sant'Agata Bolognese headquarters. Titled "Dreamaway – Lamborghini through the eyes of the world," the exhibition features over 100 works created by internationally renowned artists in 2023. These artworks were commissioned by Lamborghini dealers worldwide to mark the brand's milestone anniversary.
The exhibition, which transforms the headquarters into a "diffused museum," is accessible to both employees and visitors. It opens just before International Museum Day on Saturday, May 18. After being unveiled at various local events, the artists' creations have now returned to take center stage at the company's premises.
Each piece in the exhibition, ranging from spray paintings and oil on canvas to sculptures and photographs, embodies the spirit and identity of Lamborghini while reflecting the diverse cultures of the artists' countries of origin. The exhibition's title, "Dreamaway," invites viewers to dream, explore new paths, and be transported through a cosmopolitan perspective.
The artworks are strategically placed in different areas of the company premises to create a narrative journey. Outside the museum, visitors are greeted by a life-size cast bronze bull, symbolising Lamborghini. Inside, creations range from works celebrating iconic cars in the Lamborghini Museum to vibrant canvases evoking the dynamic atmosphere of production lines.
The choice of materials and techniques influenced where each work is displayed. For example, works made of carbon fibre are showcased in the composite materials department, while a hand-painted hood with an airbrush is placed at the entrance to the paint shop. Despite their variety, all pieces converge to evoke Lamborghini's iconic heritage and futuristic vision.
This vision is encapsulated in the manifesto "Driving Humans Beyond," which embodies Lamborghini's mission to exceed limits and conventions, serving as inspiration for future generations.
Exhibition Details
The Automobili Lamborghini Museum, hosting the main works of the "Dreamaway" exhibition, is open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. from May to September and until 6:00 p.m. from October to April.
