Lamborghini Day UK 2024 Celebrates The Arrival Of The Urus SE, A New Era Of Super SUVs
On May 4th, Hampshire became the focal point for luxury car enthusiasts as over 200 Lamborghini owners convened to celebrate Lamborghini Day UK. The prestigious event took place at the Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre, drawing the presence of Automobili Lamborghini's board members and management team. The highlight of the day was the UK debut of the Urus SE, a plug-in hybrid variant of the renowned Lamborghini Super SUV, marking a significant moment for the brand.
Lamborghini's top executives, including Chief Sales and Marketing Officer Federico Foschini, Chief Technical Officer Rouven Mohr, Design Director Mitja Borkert, and Aftersales Director Alessandro Farmeschi, were in attendance. Foschini shared his enthusiasm for the Urus SE, emphasizing its vital role in Lamborghini's lineup and its impressive order bank. This event provided a unique opportunity for attendees to immerse themselves in the world of Lamborghini through various interactive experiences.
Participants had the chance to engage in design workshops led by the Lamborghini Centro Stile team and explore an Ad Personam studio for customizing their Lamborghinis. The event also featured special displays such as an Ad Personam Lamborghini Revuelto and a Virtual Reality area that highlighted the hybrid technologies of the Revuelto. A notable exhibit by Lamborghini Polo Storico included a Diablo SV and an LP 400 production model, celebrating 50 years of the iconic Countach.
Moreover, attendees could admire Lamborghini's V10 aspirated models like the Huracán and its predecessor, the Gallardo. A dedicated exhibit underscored Lamborghini's commitment to sustainability and CO2 neutrality. The Lamborghini Cartiera section showcased innovative uses of leather offcuts, while an eSports lounge offered competitive video game simulations.
First unveiled at the Beijing auto show in April 2024, the Urus SE stands as the pinnacle model within the Urus range, boasting advancements in comfort, performance, efficiency, emissions, and driving pleasure. It features a redesigned aesthetic with optimized aerodynamics and cutting-edge onboard technology. The hybrid powertrain merges a twin-turbo 4.0 V8 engine with an electric system to produce a combined output of 800 CV and 950 Nm torque. This enables exceptional driving dynamics and performance, evidenced by its 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 312 km/h.
