Kwik Fit Partners With AND-E To Launch Online Motor Insurance Service
Kwik Fit, a prominent UK car servicing and repair company, has partnered with Aioi Nissay Dowa Europe (AND-E), a subsidiary of one of Asia’s largest insurers, to offer motor insurance directly through its website starting from Monday, 15 July. This move follows the brand's re-entry into the UK motor insurance sector last year via price comparison websites.
The new insurance policies include coverage for misfuelling and lost, stolen, or accidentally damaged keys. Policyholders can also protect their no claims discount if hit by an uninsured driver, provided they collect details of the other vehicle and driver. Additionally, deliberate damage or vandalism to their vehicle and windscreen repair or replacement using an approved repairer are covered.
Short European trips up to three days are included as standard in the policy, with options to extend coverage for longer visits. Optional features available to policyholders include three levels of breakdown cover, legal expenses, and enhanced courtesy car cover.
Kwik Fit's insurance offering is underwritten and administered by Aioi Nissay Dowa Insurance UK Ltd., a subsidiary of AND-E. Andy Lane, marketing director at Kwik Fit, stated: "We have launched Kwik Fit Motor Insurance cover to provide drivers with greater choice and cover with a company they already trust to keep their cars safe on the road."
Lane added that while many customers have responded positively to obtaining cover through price comparison websites, there is still a significant number of car owners who prefer going directly to their provider. "We have worked to make the process of getting a quote and confirming cover via our website as simple as possible," he said.

Up until 2017, insurance policies under the Kwik Fit brand were sold by Kwik Fit Insurance Services (KFIS), which was owned by Ageas and operated separately from Kwik Fit GB. Ageas ceased using the brand some years ago, and KFIS was dissolved in 2020.
