Our Top Expectations About The Upcoming Kia Syros SUV – Bigger Than Seltos?
Kia India is all-set to introduce the Syros SUV on December 19. This upcoming SUV from Kia will be positioned between the Sonet sub-4m SUV and Seltos SUV, creating a new segment in the process.
Just Two Engine Options
The Kia Syros is likely to be offered with just two engine options - A 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The turbo petrol engine is likely to produce 120hp and 172Nm of torque, whereas the diesel unit will put out 115hp and 250Nm of torque.

In terms of transmission options, Kia is likely to offer a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 7-speed DCT automatic transmission with the turbo petrol engine. On the other hand, the diesel engine will come with option for a 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
Will Be Loaded With Tech
The upcoming Kia Syros is expected to come loaded with tech like any other Kia model available in India. Moreover, the model will be fitted with features such as electric sunroof, automatic climate control, large infotainment unit, and a digital instrument cluster.

Other likely features of the Kia Syros include cooled glove box, rear AC vents, ambient lighting, leatherette seats, ventilated seats, LED headlights, electrical boot release, connected car tech, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and much more.
Taller Than Kia Seltos?
According to a recent spy shot, a Kia Syros test mule was spotted passing a parked Kia Seltos SUV. In that video, the Kia Syros test mule appeared to be a few inches taller than Kia Seltos SUV.
If true, the upcoming Kia Syros will have a very roomy interior, making it ideal for taller drivers and passengers. We also expect this roomy nature of the Syros SUV to be very beneficial for a family with kids.
