Kia India Reports 9.8% Year-on-Year Growth, Sells 21,300 Units In June 2024
Kia India experienced a 9.8% year-on-year growth in sales, with 21,300 units sold in June 2024 compared to 19,391 units in June 2023. The Sonet, a newly launched model, became the company's top seller for the month, with 9,816 units sold.
In the first half of 2024, Kia India reported a total of 126,137 unit sales, a 6% increase over the previous half-yearly sales. The Sonet contributed the most to H1 sales with a 43% share, followed by Seltos and Carens at 32% and 25%, respectively.
Strong export figures for 'Make in India' vehicles
Kia India also saw significant international demand for its 'Make in India' vehicles, exporting 3,206 units to overseas markets. The company's export figure for H1 2024 stands at 12,026 units. Kia India recently celebrated a milestone of surpassing 2.5 lakh exports to over 100 markets from its Anantapur plant.

Hardeep Singh Brar, Senior Vice President and National Head Sales & Marketing at Kia India, stated: "We have observed a healthy month-on-month sales growth in H1 2024, averaging over 21,000 units per month. Our superior product offerings have consistently attracted customers to our showrooms throughout the year, maintaining a strong sales position."
