Kia Unveils New Trims For Seltos And Sonet, Enhancing Indian Line-Up
Kia India is expanding its Seltos and Sonet line-ups with five new variants and a refreshed X-Line. The Seltos now offers 21 variants, while the Sonet has 22 options. This includes four new GTX variants with Petrol DCT and Diesel AT powertrains. Additionally, customers can now purchase a turbo petrol Sonet for under 10 Lakh with the Smartstream G1.0 HTK iMT.
New Features in Seltos
The top-tier GTX+ trims in the Seltos now come equipped with Solar Glass and white callipers on both front and rear wheels. The X-line has been enhanced with an Aurora Black Pearl colour option, providing an all-black glossy look alongside the existing Matt Graphite option. The new GTX variant includes advanced features such as ADAS, a sliding armrest, and a 360-degree camera, enhancing the vehicle's appeal over the HTX variant.

In terms of engine and transmission, the GTX trim addition for Seltos includes Solar Glass, white calipers at both ends, ventilated seats, ADAS (Front Camera and Front Radar), a 360-degree camera, and a sliding centre armrest. It is available with Smartstream G1.5 TGDi (Turbo Petrol) with 7DCT or Diesel 1.5L CRDi VGT with 6AT.
Sonet's Enhanced Offerings
The Sonet's updates aim to introduce popular features like ISOFIX, wireless phone chargers, rear wipers and washers, and diamond-cut alloy wheels to lower trims. The introduction of GTX variants further boosts the value proposition of GT Line trims in Sonet.
The GTX trim addition for Sonet includes drive and traction control modes, leatherette seats, ventilated seats, paddle shifters, a 360-degree camera with SVM, and an auto up/down safety window. Engine options include Smartstream G1.5 TGDi (Turbo Petrol) with 7DCT or Diesel 1.5L CRDi VGT with 6AT.
Customer-Centric Approach
Mr. Myung-sik Sohn, Chief Sales Officer at Kia India, commented on these launches: "Constant evolution and customer centricity have been the key to Kia's success in India. The product enhancements are part of the same strategy, offering our customers the latest technology, features, and best value for the money they spend."
He added that introducing GTX trims will provide customers with the thrill of driving a GT line while keeping them updated on automotive innovations packed into a car. Other offerings like a turbo petrol Sonet under 10 Lakh and black-themed X-line are aimed at giving customers more choices without compromising their aspirations.
