Kia Carnival 2024 To Debut In India With Premium Features By October
Kia is set to introduce the new Carnival MPV in India by October. Initially, the vehicle will be imported as a completely built unit (CBU), with local assembly expected to start next year. The facelifted version of the Carnival showcased at the Auto Expo as the KA4, will be the model launched in India.
The new Carnival is anticipated to continue with its diesel engine option. Overseas, it comes with three engine choices: a 3.5-litre V6 petrol, a 1.6-litre petrol-hybrid, and a 2.2-litre diesel. For the Indian market, it is likely to retain the 201hp, 2.2-litre four-cylinder diesel engine from its predecessor.

New Kia Carnival India Price Expectation
Due to being a CBU import initially, the new Carnival will attract significant import taxes. This could result in prices starting at Rs 50 lakh or even higher, with some dealers suggesting a starting price around Rs 60 lakh. Despite this high price point, it will not face any direct competition in its range.
The Carnival will serve as a more affordable alternative to luxury MPVs like the Toyota Vellfire, which starts at Rs 1.22 crore (ex-showroom). The next most expensive MPV available is the Innova Hycross, which tops out at Rs 30.98 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

New Kia Carnival Expected Features for India
The facelifted Carnival comes equipped with several updated features. These include dual 12.3-inch displays, reworked AC and audio controls positioned below the central screen, a rotary drive selector, front and rear dash cameras, a head-up display, a digital rear-view mirror, an updated digital key and ambient lighting along the dashboard.

New Kia Carnival India Delivery Details
With an expected launch by October, deliveries are anticipated to begin before Diwali. In addition to the new Carnival MPV, Kia India is also planning to introduce the EV9 full-size electric SUV later this year.
The upcoming launch of the new Kia Carnival marks another significant step for Kia in expanding its portfolio in India. The company continues to innovate and bring advanced features to its vehicles while catering to diverse customer needs.
