2024 Kia Carnival Limousine+: Here's What Rs 65 Lakh Gets You In India
The Kia Carnival has made a comeback in India, now available in a single, fully-loaded version known as the Carnival Limousine+. Priced at ₹65 lakhs (ex-showroom), it stands as Kia's most expensive engine-powered model in the country. This price is significantly higher than its previous versions, but it comes with substantial updates and luxury features.
The Carnival Limousine+ is offered in two colour choices and arrives in India through the SKD or semi-knocked-down route. This means parts are imported and assembled locally, which affects pricing due to India's tax structure on such imports. The vehicle's price is nearly double that of the top-end model from 2020, which was priced at ₹34 lakh (ex-showroom).

Kia Carnival Design and Features
Significant design changes mark the fourth-generation Kia Carnival. It boasts a more prominent grille, updated LED lighting, new alloy wheels, and redesigned LED tail lamps. The vehicle's dimensions have increased, offering more space and presence on the road.
Inside, the Carnival features a 2+2+3 seating layout. The last row provides ample space for adults, thanks to an extended wheelbase. Middle-row seats come with heating and cooling functions. The dashboard houses two 12.3-inch displays, complemented by a 12-speaker Bose sound system and a 360-degree camera.

Engine and Performance
Under the hood, the Carnival retains its 2.2-litre diesel engine but with improved refinement. It's paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission for smoother performance. This setup caters to those who prefer being chauffeur-driven, aligning with its luxury positioning.
The absence of direct competitors at this price point gives the Carnival an edge in its niche market segment. Its luxurious features and unique body style make it appealing to a specific audience seeking comfort and exclusivity.

The Kia Carnival was initially launched in India in early 2020 with prices starting at ₹25 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the base model. Over four years later, only one version remains available, reflecting both significant enhancements and increased costs.
The latest iteration of the Kia Carnival represents a leap forward from previous models. It combines advanced technology with luxury elements to justify its premium pricing strategy in India.
