Kia Carnival 2025 Welcomes Hybrid Model To Lineup With Enhanced Design And Tech

Kia has revealed the pricing for the 2025 Carnival, which now features a refreshed design, advanced technology, and a new turbo-hybrid powertrain option. The starting MSRP for the base model is $36,500, while the new hybrid variant begins at $40,500. The updated MPV aims to enhance its multi-purpose appeal with these latest upgrades.

The 2025 Carnival showcases a bold exterior with a grand sculptural grille and cube-like headlights. Kia's signature Star Map lighting adorns both the front and rear. Wheel designs range from 17 to 19 inches, with EX trims and above featuring standard 19-inch wheels. Inside, the dashboard integrates a 4.2-inch TFT and a 12.3-inch screen that supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

2025 Kia Carnival Goes Hybrid

The Carnival comes in several trims: LX at $36,500, LXS at $38,500, EX at $40,700, SX at $45,600, and SX Prestige at $50,600. Hybrid options include LXS at $40,500, EX at $42,700, SX at $47,600, and SX Prestige at $52,600. Each trim offers various features catering to different needs and preferences.

EX trims and above boast a digital instrumentation upgrade with a 12.3-inch cluster and infotainment displays on a curved panoramic panel. Six USB-C ports are spread across all three rows for convenience. Additionally, two power outlets and two 115V inverters are available on SX and SX-P models.

Standard "Slide-Flex" seating for eight-passenger versions includes a sliding second row. Removable second-row seats and fold-in-floor third-row seats remain key features of the Carnival. Dual power sliding doors with hands-free open are standard across all trims. EX trims add family-friendly features like an in-cabin camera and intercom.

A voice recognition system allows drivers to control windows or climate settings through voice commands. Available driver convenience features include an 11-inch Head Up Display (HUD), Full Display Mirror, and Ultrawide-based Digital Key 2.0. The next-gen Connected Car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC) operating system enables over-the-air updates.

Performance-wise, the Carnival retains its 3.5-liter V6 GDI engine producing 287 horsepower paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The new hybrid variant combines a 1.6-liter turbo-hybrid engine with a 54kW motor for a total output of 242 horsepower and 271 lb.-ft of torque.

Advanced Driver Assistance Systems

Kia has updated the Carnival’s Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Standard Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist now includes Junction Crossing (FCA-JC), Lane-change Oncoming (FCA-LO), Lane-change Side (FCA-LS), and Evasive Steering Assist (FCA-ESA) on SX models and above. Highway Driving Assist 2 is also standard on SX trims.

The Carnival Hybrid features exclusive elements such as aerodynamic wheels on LXS trim and Active Air Flaps integrated into the front fascia. Paddle regenerative braking is another unique feature of the hybrid model.
