Kia America Showcases Custom EV Concepts For Adventurous Lifestyles At SEMA 2024
Kia America introduced two innovative concept vehicles at the 2024 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas. These vehicles, crafted by the Kia Design Center America (KDCA), highlight a future where cars offer unmatched adaptability and sustainability. SEMA is renowned for showcasing unique automotive designs and accessories that enhance vehicle performance and style.
The EV9 ADVNTR Concept EV SUV stands out as a robust, all-electric three-row SUV designed for off-road adventures. It features custom front and rear facias, reinforced rocker panels, and a three-inch lift for enhanced off-road capability. The rugged tire and wheel combination further boosts its adventurous spirit. A custom roof rack accommodates everything from luggage to roof-mounted tents, making it ideal for outdoor escapades.
The PV5 WKNDR Concept EV Van is based on Kia's Purpose Beyond Vehicles line, tailored for small businesses and deliveries. This van boasts a flexible interior that can be customized like a Swiss Army Knife on wheels. Its "Gear Head" feature offers off-board storage when stationary, maximizing interior space while providing easy access to gear outside.
Additionally, the PV5 WKNDR Van includes solar panels and hydro turbine wheels that recharge its batteries. An onboard compressor adjusts tire pressure or inflates mattresses during camping trips. This van is perfect for those seeking self-sufficiency on extended weekend getaways in nature.
Kia also unveiled unique versions of popular SUVs inspired by Greek mythology. The Sportage THETIS model, developed with Rhino Rack, features a custom wrap depicting white water rapids and rose gold trim. It includes kayak mounts for river adventures and will be displayed at the Rhino Rack Booth.
The Telluride ZEUS model showcases mountain range imagery with Fifteen52 wheels and an iKamper for camping. Built with an Eibach lift kit, it tackles tough terrains effortlessly. The ZEUS Telluride includes a Yakima MOD Storage System for organized gear storage and a BORLA exhaust system for added flair.
Enhancing Lifestyle with Advanced Technology
The Sorento GAIA model blends into nature with its neutral color scheme and gold tone trim. Equipped with Baja Design lightbars, it ensures safety after sunset. A Yakima awning provides shade while enjoying content on an outdoor projector screen with a Kicker soundbar. This model will be showcased in the XPEL booth at SEMA.
